Lions ROAR 2022

About Lions ROAR

2022 is the 7th year of Lions ROAR. This inspirational competition is run by the award-winning education company, 8billionideas, and Lions Clubs British Isles.

This unique Lions programme aims to inspire children and young people to think big and dream bigger about their ideas. Lions ROAR helps to improve children’s confidence and levels of self-esteem. It benefits primary schools by enhancing lifeskills that meet all of the personal, social, and health education curriculum requirements.

Lions Clubs across the British Isles are invited to join this exciting venture in 2022 by providing funding and support for local primary schools in their local community.

Roar Rhaglen Ieuenctid Newydd

LIONS MD 105 Cystadleuaeth rhwng ysgolion yw ROAR sy’n gofyn i blant greu syniadau newydd ac uchelgeisiol. Mabwysiadwyd y cynllun gan ein ardal (MD105) ym mis Mai llynedd, a bu’n llwyddiannus yn ein 8 ardal. Bwriedir i’r cynllun fod yn hwyl ac yn fuddiol i blant, ond hefyd yn un fydd yn elwa athrawon a chlybiau Lions yn ogystal. Fe fydd pecynnau gyda’r manylion ariannol a marchnata yn cael eu danfon i bob clwb Lions cyn bo hir. Bydd angen i bob ysgol sy’n cystadlu wneud fideo o waith ei tim buddugol, a caiff rhain eu dangos a’u beirniadu yn y rowndiau terfynol a fydd yn cael eu cynnal ym mhob adran yn ystod mis Tachwedd. Mi fydd yr ennillwyr ym mhob adran yn cael dangos eu fideos ystod diwrnod gwobrwyo cenhedlaethol Zoom ar yr 8fed o Ragfyr 2022. Mae’r Lions yn cydweithio gydag adran nid er elw o gwmni technoleg uwch 8 billion ideas i weithredu’r rhaglen. Ni fyddant yn gallu cynnig y rhaglen yn ddwyieithog felly fydd y cynllun yn cael ei weithredu yn saesneg yn unig. Amcangyfrifir fod 20,000 o blant o fewn ein 8 ardal wedi elwa llynedd. Gobeithio bydd holl glybiau Lions yn medru cynnig y cyfle arbennig yma i’w plant.

Roar Winners for last year

The largest-ever audience from Lions clubs and primary schools attended the Lions ROAR finals on 8 December 2021 via zoom.

The winning team from each of the eight Lions Districts presented their ideas by video and this event celebrated the creativity of children from across the British Isles. The day was introduced by David Harkin, CEO of 8billion ideas, and Steve Scall for the MD ROAR Team. There were two sessions where montages of many of the submissions were shown and two sessions viewing the winning ideas. In between, there was a game that all the watching schools could join in. Council Chairman Richard Williams concluded for Lions by congratulating the children and saying that he looked forward to furthering success next year following this first year as a Lions National Youth Programme.
