Lions ROAR 2023
About Lions ROAR
2023 is the 8th year of Lions ROAR. This inspirational competition is run by the award-winning education company, 8billionideas, and Lions Clubs British Isles.
This unique Lions programme aims to inspire children and young people to think big and dream bigger about their ideas. Lions ROAR helps to improve children’s confidence and levels of self-esteem. Take a look at this video clip, and click on teachers testimonals – they tell us how it benefits their primary schools – by enhancing life skills that meet all of the personal, social, and health education curriculum and STEM requirements.
Lions Clubs across the British Isles are invited to join this exciting venture in 2023 by providing funding and support for local primary schools in their local community.

Cystadleuaeth rhwng ysgolion yw Lions ROAR sy’n gofyn i blant greu syniadau newydd ac uchelgeisiol. Mabwysiadwyd y cynllun gan ein hardal Ynysoedd Prydain (MD105), a bu’n llwyddiannus ym mhob un o’r 8 ardal. Bwriad y cynllun yw bod yn hwyl ac yn fuddiol i blant, ond hefyd yn un a fydd o fudd i athrawon a chlybiau’r Llewod hefyd. Bydd pecynnau gyda’r manylion ariannol a marchnata yn cael eu dosbarthu i holl glybiau’r Llewod yn fuan. Bydd angen i bob ysgol sy’n cystadlu wneud fideo o waith eu tîm buddugol, a bydd y rhain yn cael eu dangos a’u beirniadu yn y rowndiau terfynol a gynhelir ym mhob adran yn ystod mis Tachwedd. Caniateir i’r enillwyr ym mhob adran ddangos eu fideos yn ystod diwrnod gwobrau cenhedlaeth Zoom ym mis Rhagfyr 2023 (dyddiad i’w gadarnhau. Mae Clybiau Llewod yn cydweithio ag is-adran nid-er-elw o gwmni technoleg uwch 8 biliwn o syniadau i weithredu’r rhaglen Ni fyddant yn gallu cynnig y rhaglen yn ddwyieithog felly bydd y cynllun yn cael ei weithredu yn uniaith Saesneg Amcangyfrifir bod 20,000 o blant o fewn yr 8 ardal wedi elwa y llynedd.Gobeithio y bydd holl glybiau’r Llewod yn gallu cynnig y cyfle arbennig hwn i’w plant.

Roar Winners for last year 2022
The largest-ever audience attended by primary schools on the Lions ROAR finals held on Zoom, 7 December 2022. The winning teams from each of the eight Lions Districts presented their ideas by video and this event celebrated the creativity of children from across the British Isles. The day was introduced by David Harkin – CEO of 8billion ideas, Alastair Joel – Chair of Lions Clubs, and Lesley Spence – Vice District Governor of District A from the ROAR Team.
