Australian Bushfire and Humanitarian Appeal

Reproduced from New South Wales Rural Fire Service

Months of severe drought and record-breaking temperatures have fuelled a series of
catastrophic bushfires across Australia.

Lions Clubs MD105 Council of Governors has approved an immediate response. It has
been agreed with PIP Lion Barry Palmer of Australia, that Lions Clubs of the British Isles
will donate towards the purchase of much-needed water tanks. Each water tank costs
£1,600 (A$3,000).

Lions Clubs MD105 Council of Governors has approved an MD105 Foundation appeal
for donations to support the Lions Clubs of Australia to purchase water tanks and the
provision of other humanitarian needs. This will allow people to return to their homes and
achieve some degree of normality.
