£40,518.85p raised
…and counting
Lions clubs across the British Isles have supported Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil appeal since 2012. In this time, Lions members have raised over £1 million – and thank everyone who has contributed towards this worthwhile cause.
This commitment to community-based collections has funded 52,867 hours of individual nursing care either in someone’s home or a Marie Curie hospice.
For the 2023 Great Daffodil appeal, the total amount collected by Lions members was £40,518.85p.
Lions have been invited to volunteer to support the 2024 collection taking place in February and March (see page 12-13 in the Summer special LION magazine).
