Listen to Lions local community report.
A ‘talking’ version of Step Forward, a report on the value of local community volunteering by Lions Clubs International (British Isles), is now available as an audio booklet and download file. It is accompanied by both pdf and ‘flip’ editions of the digital report to offer easy ways for read and/or listen engagement.
The 32 minute audio was recorded by Samantha Boffin, a professional voice actor and director and former BBC broadcaster. Sam is also the host of the Lions podcast, Step Forward and Volunteer.
In addition, a series of short soundclips have been launched to share across social media, breaking the report into nine sections.
“Audio broadcasting is extremely popular with over 20 million podcast listeners in the UK,” explains Sam. “Having established an audience for the Lions monthly podcast – and the Talking LION magazine – now is a good time to produce additional ‘listen with Lions’ resources.”
